Feeling Thankful

Well, the good news is that I got both bathrooms cleaned and a load of towels done. The weather has been beautiful, so Allison and Marnie have been playing outside, which is great. I feel bad that I haven't pushed Marnie on the swing for the last - - - many months. So I really need to get out and make up for lost time.

I'm feeling thankful for our family's health because Caleb's cousin has her 6 month old in the hospital with influenza and RSV right now. It seems like it always takes a reminder like that before I think of how good my life is each day. I don't usually wake up each morning and list off all my blessings. I wish I did.

Today the church ladies are throwing a baby shower for me. I think it will be very enjoyable. I almost feel guilty that they are doing it, because Carmen is my 3rd, and I didn't expect it. That's another blessing - women who care about me! I don't think I could enjoy this life away from friends and family so much if it weren't for these new friends and church family out here!

I actually found something to wear - not sure what I'm going to do about my wardrobe situation. But that's a conversation for a different day! After the shower it's back home to a messy kitchen. I'm not sure what I squished on the floor today, but I nearly had to use my hands to pull my foot off the floor. Then the flour on the other side of the room nearly took me down like the dusting spray-on-linoleum trick from my childhood. (Thanks, Steph.)
