So I failed to stick to my plan this morning of feeding Carmen in her room and putting her back in the crib. Not a monumental failure, no, but just another slip backwards on my Perfect Mom hillclimb. She just smells so good and feels so good in my arms! I nearly shed a tear because at 8:55 tonight she'll be 3 weeks old. I can see that newborn scent drifting slowly away . . .
I did get a shower this morning while she slept. Maybe tomorrow I'll get the other leg shaved. Not that Caleb has noticed, because 1) he hasn't been too friendly with the lower half of my body since, well, trying to induce labor, and 2) I haven't shaved since the night we last tried inducing labor, so by now my legs were soft again!! (Sorry, honey.)
I was excited that my sweater today - if zipped to just the right spot - makes my boobs look smaller. I could pass for a D cup in this outfit!! Reason to go out to the store . . .
Last night Caleb got home between 6:00 and 6:30. The only one eating supper was Carmen. Allison and Marnie were playing Ponyville on the computer, so Caleb started supper. We were eating at bedtime.
Allison's Kindergarten reportcard arrived on Tuesday. Her grades for "Obeying the Teacher" and "Cooperates with the group" went up. Our "Parent's help with Memorization" grade, however, has slid from an S+ to an NI. (How am I supposed to keep her awake to work on memory work after a past-bedtime supper?!?!?)
My goal for today is cleaning the two bathrooms and getting some towels washed - and dried this time. It's 10:26 a.m. Any bets on whether I accomplish my tasks by bedtime?!?!?

Sounds like things are busy around your house Jen. Sounds like baby is doing well. I hope that everyone in your household is well and enjoying the new baby.
I totally know how you feel with three kids. They sure keep ya on your toes. They say after 2 there is no difference but I have to disagree with that statement.
Stay well and I hope things calm down for you soon.
Great idea Jen! By bet is that you'll get some towels washed & dried today. As for the bathrooms, maybe next time.
